Tailors

Well, even though I'm not rich, I do own a few items from these labels. One thing you soon realize about Ready to Wear items (which are pretty much everything you see in these stores regardless how much they cost) is that most of them don't fit you exactly how you want them to be. If you get the chest size right, the sleeves will be too long, or vice versa. So you want to make sure you look the best in your new Armani suit, you send it to a tailor and wish they'll do the magic.

But the truth is, good tailors are hard to find. I mean seriously, if they are good, they'd be working for a big name fashion label. Most tailors I've dealt with are mediocre. The best one I have found, an European tailor named Zoli, happens to be an hour of drive away from me. The worst ones has lost buttons on my trench coat when I wanted her to move them. Sometimes you wonder what exactly they do to your cloth when you send it to them. You don't know, I don't know either. Tailors are just like doctors, they are mystical and god like. What doctors do to us, we don't know, but we try to be nice to them hoping we don't suffer too much. Same goes for tailors.
